calling all soup sniffers, spoon detectorists, ladle larkers, porridge pirates, broth philosophers, and closet spoon musicians of the world: welcome to my small corner of the Spooniverse where I get to share my obsession with wooden spoons!

Some time ago, I picked up a hook knife and started carving spoons at Whittle HQ (formally the living room floor). A few wood shavings turned into piles, and before I knew it, I had enough spoons to arm a small soup battalion. It wasn’t planned — it just kept happening.

There’s something grounding about the process. Each spoon begins as a rough blank and becomes something useful, honest, and entirely one-of-a-kind. The wood decides the shape as much as I do. A knot here, a bend in the grain there — these are not flaws but suggestions. I listen, I carve, I adapt.

The spoons aren’t perfect. Some are slightly off-center. Some have strange proportions. All of them have personality. That’s the point.

So ---- Whether you’re looking for a spoon with clean lines or one that looks like it’s seen things, I hope you find something here that feels like it was meant for your hand — or your next pot of soup. And remember: Stir responsibly. Leave no broth behind. And may your next meal be stirred with intention
